So, it’s 2025, and some of you have been sitting on an idea, or ideas, for how long? Five to ten-plus years?

I must have played Gin-Go over 1,000+ times since its creation in 1976. When played “1-on-1,” an exciting game can take about 30 to 45 mins.

Since I was a kid, taking things apart and trying to create something new and different from the pieces always caught my attention.

Between the good-natured storytellers and spirited competitors who play for keeps, it’s an exercise in mental agility and social grace.

Gaming adds a dimension to a conversation that otherwise would not exist, from poking innocent fun to making blank threats.

A new year can take place at any time. We don’t want to build a new damn without making sure the old one is fortified.

Somehow, we’ve reached a point where the computer seems to have been here forever, at least from my point of view.

The more I play Kitunda, the more I enjoy its experience. The moment the element of chance is introduced, it levels the playing field.

If you play a game enough times, specifically if it’s a new concept game, you’ll find cracks in the marble.

This summer, I was able to complete and publish two books. “Of Prose and Passing Thoughts” in July and “Song Lyrics of Amurá” in August.

How many of you have learned to judge a person’s character on how they play a game and how they lose it?

Watching my kids explain my games to strangers, putting smiles on their faces and joy in their eyes. Well, it put a lump in my throat.

For the last month and a half, I’ve been cataloging the lyrics of finished songs I have written over the previous five decades.
