The Long Island Tabletop Expo – Third Time’s a Charm!

This is our third year as vendors at the Long Island Tabletop Gaming Expo. A place my family and I love attending. Alongside expectations of a promising event, I also get an adrenaline rush knowing I will always meet some extremely creative game designers. I am an ideas person, be it game design, painting, sculpting, writing, or composing musical compositions. People expressing unique ideas in any medium has always been a turn-on.

As a vendor who happens to be a game designer, it’s a pleasure to have my game ideas among so many others. To experience the “oohs” and “ahhs” of people coming to sample-play our products at our booth is tantamount to the pride felt by fathers watching their children succeed in track and field tournaments.

Some folks were passionate about their game design, which involved serious creative juices. I could only marvel at the amount of work and effort that must have been involved in their creations. For me, the mind is the great expanse, and to quote a phrase from Star Trek, “to go where no one has gone before” has always been a journey that I have enjoyed.

The Convention offered many events for attendees as the traffic was ongoing.

We had excellent interactions with those who came by our booth and were able to play our games: Gin-Go (a game we feel is an upgrade to 500 Rummy/Gin Rummy), Squarin’ Off (a few steps up to the game Connect-the-Dots/Boxes), our maze game Attactics (a race to the center of the maze), Duo Coup (Sudoku for Two), and Kitunda (a game with only chess pawns who gain the powers of a Rook, Knight, Bishop, and King via the roll of a die).

This was our best year yet, and we appreciate and offer our thanks to all those who supported our efforts. We hope to hear from many who promised to look us up on our website, and from the friends of those who purchased games from us and find enjoyment in playing them. As the company grows, we look forward to returning to the Long Island Tabletop Expo in the coming years.

Thanks again for having us.
